“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son but only the Father.” (Matthew 24 v 36)
No one knows.
Not the day, hour, the month or the year or even generally knowing it’s in the next few years. No one knows.
If the Son of God in taking on human form restricted himself from knowing then how much more should we be content in that for ourselves?
The message from God seems to be:
I want you to live not knowing when exactly Christ will return but live as if He is near.
But how do we do that? Jesus continues and will guide us in this in the next few verses.
