It is time to wake-up not from sleep but from being transfixed by the prostitute!

Why? That was the question the angel asked John as he became transfixed on the woman.
John looks and sees this impressive woman and wonders on her wealth, power and influence of this Mother of whores and abominations of the earth.
I find that encouraging, don’t you? Just for a moment, until the angel brought John to his senses, he was in danger of losing perspective.
Don’t let those who flutter their eyes deceive you into their schemes. Keep the why question before you. Do not be flattered into deceptive ways. John stared and admired for a moment until the angel snapped him out of it.
She must have been an unbelievable sight to entice John. How long are our own moments? The power of this world entices you and me slowly and subtly to be transfixed on these cravings. We do not understand at the time that this attraction is an enemy of God. We need a wake-up call. The WHY is still before us: WHY are you marvelling at what is deceptive?
