There are times in life when circumstances force us to let go of what we cherish most. Today, we will see that there are also times when there is a blessing in the return of that.

“Then his sister asked Pharaoh’s daughter, “Shall I go and get one of the Hebrew women to nurse the baby for you?” “Yes, go,” she answered. So the girl went and got the baby’s mother. Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Take this baby and nurse him for me, and I will pay you.” So the woman took the baby and nursed him.” (Exodus 2 v 7-9)

This account shows us what can happen when we place what is most precious to us into God’s hands. Faced with an impossible situation, Moses’ mother entrusted her baby to God’s care, placing him in a basket on the Nile and believing that God would do what she could not. Yet this passage illustrates a profound spiritual truth: when we entrust things to God, they often come back to us in ways we never expected.

There are moments in life when we must release things into God’s hands. This story reveals that surrender is not the end. Often, it is the place where God’s faithfulness begins to unfold in ways we could not have imagined.
